Our company is based in Puerto Natales, Chile. We are dedicated to adventure travel, specialized in climbing, trekking, mountaineering expeditions and wildlife observation.
Our main goal is to create seamless adventures in some of the world’s most beautiful places by providing knowledgeable guidance, exceptional client care and risk management, creating a personal ambiance and applying leave no trace principles. Most of our programs are personally organized and guided by us in small groups up to 6 participants maximum.
Our outings generate a sense of discovery and adventure while promoting conservation and awareness for the natural environment in which we recreate and work.
Diego Aldrete Isaac
Diego has always been fascinated by nature. When he began climbing at the age of 12, he was introduced to wild and pristine landscapes that sparked a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Over the years, that appreciation has continued to grow, shaping both his personal and professional life.
Decades of recreational climbing, indoor climbing instruction, formal training as an AMGA guide, and the development of new climbing areas across North and South America and the Alps have led to a successful career guiding outdoor climbing trips, trekking adventures, and mountaineering expeditions since 2006.
With many years of experience in the field, Diego has developed strong risk management, group leadership, and client care skills. These have enabled him to guide hundreds of people safely through some of the world’s most spectacular mountain environments, from Patagonia to the Alps.
His qualifications include:

Diego is passionate about guiding because it allows him to explore extraordinary places while meeting people from around the world. For him, the most rewarding part of every trip is the connection he builds with his clients and the shared experiences that create lasting memories.
Lisa Raunig
Lisa grew up in the Austrian Alps, surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes just steps from her home. From an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed a wide range of mountain sports, including skiing, cross-country skiing, climbing, mountain biking, and hiking.
After studying Graphic Design and Business Education in Innsbruck, Lisa completed an internship teaching business and economics at a secondary school. She then spent several years working for the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, where she specialized in graphic design and marketing campaigns. In 2017, she made a life-changing decision to leave her established career behind and travel to Patagonia. There, she discovered not only a profound connection to the region but also a new vision for her future. Together with Diego, she founded Mountaineering Aldrete with the goal of creating unique and inspiring outdoor adventures that connect people with nature.

Lisa has always enjoyed working with people, spending time in nature, and combining creativity with organization. At Mountaineering Aldrete, she brings these passions together by managing the creative, organizational, and client-focused aspects of the company. She is passionate about helping create meaningful mountain experiences and turning her diverse interests into a fulfilling profession.
